I really thought it would be much more exciting to go flying on Halloween and see all the trick or treaters from the sky I guess some people are really into that but I didn't find it all that exciting.

Flying on Halloween was far more disappointing for me. Rough running mags.

My Halloween fl8ght was pretty bumpy, literally

One year, the Friday evening before Halloween, I landed and called ground for taxi to parking. Ground then gave me my route and then added "Look out for pedestrians near taxiway kilo". As I got there the pedestrians turned out to be a group dressed in sleazy airline pilot costumes and sexy flight attendant costumes posing for pictures in front of the parked planes.

That's about the only interesting thing I've ever had happen flying on or around Halloween.

I got the aircraft's pitot static check done and even filled it up with gas. It was the only VFR day forecast for the foreseeable future.

This Mooney driver is starting IFR training in the very near future. The Lucky Strike has but a DME and a VOR with glide slope, but it will have to do for now.

Best way to learn to build the mental picture for SA on the approach. GPS makes it too easy.
