Hey guys

I'm flying commercial to Paris this week and would like to link up with any pilots in Europe to share a flight , chat or any advice on renting out here for a 1-2 hour trip. We were able to rent on our last trip with a safety pilot in Florence and fly down to Sienna. Great experience.

I am planning a cross country from New York City to Europe next summer, hopefully with PilotPaws again and help rescue animals in need.

Thanks for any connections with European pilots for us

Phillip

In most European countries, your FAA ticket is valid without any revalidation. Getting an EASA certificate is far from straight forward, no 61.75 in Euroland.

France is a nice country for GA, ATC works well there, just watch out for the military training areas and be careful of the smaller fields with "seulement francais", meaning only allowed RT language is French (unless you are fluent, of course).
First time you open a European sectional you appreciate how well FAA has done them. French ones are expensive, printed on nice paper, and look like a massive clusterf..k the first time you look at it.
Katamarino already posted the two active GA forums, they are mainly UK-specific though.
