There is a pretty cool YouTube channel out there called Flying Doodles. Each episode interviews the owner of an airplane and they go up for a quick ride. I learned of it when the owner contacted me to do an episode on the Eclipse 500 and I was really impressed with how well it was done. I hope you enjoy!

Thanks for posting it! Was fun to watch!

I really like his videos as well.

I watch all of his videos, and learn about different planes that way. He does a great job.

The human interest side is really good, too, the way he lets the pilot/owners tell their personal stories.

His “sailing doodles” channel is also pretty cool. He currently sails with one fine looking woman. I’m not into sailing, but if I were, his travels (and his female companions) are the stuff that many men dream about.

Creepy.....

Agreed. She is a good follow on IG as well.

What an awesome plane!

Is it just me or does he look a lot like Steveo?

He looks nothing like Steve-O, but he looks exactly like Will Forte.

So, since I’m back to posting here now I guess...

Does he ever mention why he took all of the sailing videos down? That’s crazily how I first found his channel.

And where are the pups? The Doodles the channel is named after also haven’t been seen since the back catalogue was wiped out.

Love the new format with actual airplanes though. He seems to have made a go of a format David Allen attempted a long time ago titled “Other People’s Airplanes”.

David is on to learning how to fly now, under the title Flight Review.

Funny how stuff like that works out.

Nice video Abram! You did well in front of the camera!

I just realized this answers my question. Two separate channels. (Smacks head...) Too many channels in my list and they’re not alphabetical so... ;-)

I like his videos. It is nice to hear the owner's perspective, as well as his views on flying the airplane. Sometimes I want to yell at him for flying two hands on the yoke too much, lol. I might be doing a video with him early next year.

He's not as skinny and not ginger, lol.

Haven’t met him but that could be due to side effects of his stroke or from flying corporate jets that have two crew and a large rotation pull for the PF. I believe he instructed briefly also.

Have you seen his background story? Corporate pilot, stroke, medically disqualified. He’s making the best of a bad hand dealt to him. His sailing channel is pretty much a mid-life crisis on steroids, and fun. Hahaha.

And the dogs the channels are named after are adorable. Need to see them more often. Maybe they had to stay with someone else with all of his travel.

That's a hell of a story, and I didn't know that. Amazing way of coming back. My guess is the two hands comes from the jet habits.

Yeah I was surprised when his aviation channel popped up. I was enjoying watching him being a sailing beach bum after losing his ability to fly jets.

Pretty young for a stroke, but then again, I’m pretty young for freaking autoimmune spinal cord damage, so... maybe I’ll film some flights in y’alls airplanes someday. LOL.

Karen doesn’t seem up to the whole sell everything and buy a sailboat idea yet. I gave up working on that one. Hahaha. She says it would probably be helpful for sailing if my right hand was working 100% properly. Sheesh. Picky picky. :)

Don’t know if his stroke is a 100% no-way for a medical or maybe he can work with someone to make a case and at least get a third class back. He doesn’t seem impaired enough not to be able to go through paperwork hell and at least have that.

Or maybe he just doesn’t want to mess with it if it’s not a Second Class and he can fly again for a paycheck. He’s never elaborated in the videos.

This.
After a few years flying the CRJ for the airlines I now pretty much always am flying light GA airplanes with two hands.

. . . .

I did hear him mention once that he looked into regaining his medical and did not know if he was going to go through all the hurdles. He did not elaborate - but I am guessing it was not a simple process. In the back of my mind I wondered if he was making enough money off of his YouTube channels that he did not have go back to being an on demand corporate pilot. He may like his new life style better than the old life.
