But this one did -- off to Boston.

(and the new terminal building is gorgeous. Charles Lindbergh would be proud of today's "field" where he used to land en route to visit the Morrow estate out in Penobscot Bay.)

Not all that soupy - if Cape Air's op-specs allowed departure, that proves it.

But nice pictures!

Holy crap, Harley, that's the new terminal?!? That's amazing; I don't think I'd recognize that as RKD, if not for the dense fog (and likely 40kt wind at the same time). They did an amazing job with that.

I thought the post would get your attention. I was late getting there, my main reason was to see if Kevin Waters' red, white, and blue C-206 Amphibian was there so I could get some photos. It wasn't; Penobscot Air was closed; and the new terminal was within not many minutes of closing. Having left the camera in the truck, I only had time to case the joint --- excuse me: tour the facility, but not enough time to get some interior photos. Beautiful facility! From memory:
Straight in the front door = ticket area; big flat screen Arrivals/Departures display.
South end = baggage claim area.
½ way down that corridor = nice waiting room whose large glass area overlooks the runways(well, one of them but you know what I mean).
** At the right of the entrance is another public room. I didn't have time to inspect it but I think it's a pilot's lounge with the usual PC set-up
** After all the years it had been "envisioned," reality is finally a PLUS. I'll bet that Mr. Watson(IBM) is pleased, too. What do you bet that Travolta will be checking it out during the summer?

Photo below I tried to clean up the "reality" of the day.

Looks like the soup I saw in BOS and OWD and AUG for the two weeks I was in New England. Even the seagulls were walking.
