Had my first experience with the Diamond DA20 today. Man what a great plane, it was so easy to control and fly. Even putting it in slow flight where the Cherokee is ridiculously mushy and unresponsive, this thing handles great. And feels like a freaking glider compared to everything else. I am considering flying this thing back to Lubbock to do my checkride in it instead of the Cherokee. Sorry, I was just excited to be flying a nice plane for a change.

It is a great airplane -- I miss flying them dearly.

The DA20 is such a natural flyer- a great size, very efficient, fast enough to actually go someplace, and extremely light and natural on the stick.

If only they could be flown IFR...

i got checked out in one around here a few weeks ago. I had only flown like 10 minutes in one before, with Jesse. I agree, I love the way it flies.

I have transistioned to it as well, and agree, it is a sporty fun airplane to fly. Great stick and rudder, which I hope will come in handy when I go for a tailwheel add-on sometime in the future. Fast, with a great view! :blueplane:
