First Class Medical Help

Im about to start my pilot training and need to get my first class medical. On the application I am only given the option “Airman Medical Certificate” and am unable to select the student pilot option.
Is airman medical correct for me?

Student pilot certificates are no longer issued in combination with a medical certificate but are obtained separately through iacra.faa.gov.

Any time before you solo. I guess it doesn't hurt to get it early but you'll need an instructor to verify your identity and sign it.

Just get your medical ... the school or you instructor will advise you from there.
