At this rate, it should be certified sometime in the next 200 years. I would say it would make a good movie, but at this glacial pace, it might be a little boring.

And exactly how does that fit in a world where road-going cars are facing ever-higher government fuel economy mandates?

The feds are stuck in a place where they'll either have to let this move forward and have picketers outside the offices of the EPA, or try to quietly kill it and admit they've wasted hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars on a Jetsons-inspired hoax.
