Had a good week last week. Took my private pilot written on Tuesday and got a 95 (missed 3). Same day I did my night cross country from HWD to SAC. Also saw some fireworks in the air. :) I also did my first solo x-country from HWD to MOD on Fri and did another solo x-country on Sat from HWD to EDU. I'm at 39.1 total hours now with 3.6 being solo time. All I have to do is do my long x-country and a few more solo hours, do my 10 T/O and landings at night, go over the PTS maneuvers again and prep for my checkride. My goal is to get my PPL by 60 hours and it seems like I'm right on track...:)

Don't worry about it, it'll get it done when it gets done. You can fly solo now with an endorsement, so go enjoy yourself.

Nice work! How was the solo trip to EDU?

Now that you have been to Modesto - you should go back. Every month, they have a huge pancake breakfast with over 100 pilots. Fun time:

Each month, the Commemorative Air Force Central California Valley Squadron has a fundraising pancake breakfast with a display of classic aircraft. Join us for pancakes, airplanes, and fun for the first fly-in of 2012 at the Modesto airport!

It was a smooth flight. Went right by the runways at Travis AFB. EDU was pretty easy to spot since it's right by the freeways. I was too high on first approach so I did a go around. Landed the second time to a full stop and headed back to HWD.

Thanks for the info Kimberly! I'll definitely look into that. :)
