Fatal crash of PA22 at Frankenmuth Zehnder Field 66G

PA22 crashed with fatal: pilot and his grandson....very sad. I fly there often, as it is the nearest grass only strip to my home field, and it is very well maintained.

Frankenmuth has one heck of a restaurant (Zehnders) with the best Christmas buffet I've ever had. They're known for their German heritage and the food is amazing. So sad to hear about this one.

So are you stating that as a fact or a question? We don't know if it stalled. There may have been a medical issue or a thousand other reasons.

My thoughts are with the family and friends. It is always tough to see a plane go down and to lose someone, and especially a child too.

Never good to loose a pilot and his grandson,may they rest in peace. I think I would wait for the preliminary finding before making an assumption on the cause.

Always sad to see a youngster especially in one like this where grandpop and grandson out flying. I've had my 6 year old grandson up a few times myself. Makes you think. RIP.
