Eurocopter X3 - 220 knots

Now that's a unique looking machine from Eurocopter. Their goal is to demonstrate sustained flight at 220 knots:

I bet they stop the props for loading/unloading. I wonder if there's a safety interlock to keep you from opening the doors when the props are spinning? Probably not... that could be a safety hazard in an emergency if you needed to deplane (would that be decopt?) quickly.

I find it somewhat questionable that Eurocopter called it X3. Sikorsky had their X2 technology out there for a year or more. Do they think we'll make some kind of relationship between the two and think Eurocopter is more advanced?
Sikorsky is kewler! Already broke 250Knots.
