Touring flight and I had a quick engine stutter. It’s the third time this has happened in the past year. This time I was able to notice MP from 19.1 -19.3 for a few seconds. Fuel was sumped and next flight flew without incident.

Stuff like that is very difficult to replicate on the ground. If you’ve got an engine monitor with trend data, that can help, otherwise there’s not much that can be done besides checking the basic air, spark and fuel supplies.

Were all 3 occurrences on the same fuel tank?

Here’s a few of my causes over the years, slug of water, ignition issue, plug, plug wire compromised, momentary fuel injector restriction, & possibly others. This is ‘assuming’ it isn’t an indication of a larger problem with the engine, had a valve issues years ago.

The only other thing, which doesn’t sound like the case, a warm engine usually runs better than one not up to temperature.

How much did you have it leaned out?
