Emotional Support Squirrel

The airlines have to draw the line somewhere.
The passengers should be ****ed at the lady, not Frontier, further this costs Frontier money.

Attention seeking. Trolling for treatment to turn into a lawsuit. Whatever. No way that she actually considered it an emotional support animal or thought the airline would. These folks are seeking trouble and they need to receive it and receive it hard.

Easily fixed by the airlines .... update the forms requesting travel with an emotional support animal to require species of animal and a few photographs.

If these are left blank, then no ticket is issued.

If passenger falsifies the information, then boarding is denied during pre-boarding activities at the gate.

There is no form currently. They just all have published policies (all within the past year); and rely up the animal being visible and the passenger having a doctor's note.

A friend of mine is a psychologist, and she gets requests for emotional support animal permission letters all the time. She's issued zero so far.

Mixed emotions on this one. I do not mind the concept of an ESA if the owner is under active therapy. But otherwise, I kinda agree, no ESA...
Really in many ways, this has no regulations or standards, so has become very abused.

Craziest I’ve seen is a ESA Chicken. Yes, a chicken that had a diaper and a leash...

A buddy of mine from school was asking where someone could get one of those special support animals. I told him there was a church down in Pascagoula, MS that ran a program for them.

Then I sent him this link . . .

Is it just me or have people started to take a weird sort of pride in claiming disability and neediness?

For the most part its just a scam to take your pet along in the cabin.

Now this particular case just sounds like the lottery where you try to get the airline/police to slip up so you too can collect your millions. Pretty clear, the airline told her to get off and she didn't and became confrontational to provoke an altercation. She admits so much, wants to 'own a good part of the airline'. Probably was hoping for a viral video of her getting dragged down the aisle with the squirrel following her.

They should have just told her to 'flush it down the toilet'....

They are good.

I never had any but they did give us some venison once. I figure they probably taste like rabbit also something I haven't tried but my mom's family ate them all the time when she was a kid. They kept them in a hutch out back and her parents were evasive about who what was in the stew when Fluffy went missing.

I watched a squirrel get skinned when I was a kid. The neighbors would eat them.
There's a nice scene in "Winter's Bone":

The older sister brings home some squirrels so her family can eat. She cleans them and as she pulls out a handful of long, stringy guts, her little brother asks, "Do we eat those parts?" She says, "Not yet."

Actually, I'd have less of a problem with a squirrel than with some other animals people have tried to drag onto airplanes. Domesticated rodents are very affectionate. Even wild ones can be semi-tamed given enough time and patience.

I don't get why airlines accommodate disruptive passengers on the next flight. After you forcee them to un-board everyone else, the only accommodation should be a taxi coupon down to the Greyhound/PeterPan or Amtrak.
