Electric push mower

I got tired of rebuilding my gas weedeater carb (despite putting in non ethonal gas) several years ago so I bought an battery powered weedeater. God i dont miss smelling like exhaust fumes or mixing oil/gas! Yard is too big for an electric mower (2 acres) so still using the riding mower for that (c'mon Elon Musk....help me out!).

Are you my long-lost twin?

Ego has a battery ZTR. Base model with included batteries will do 2 acres on a single charge. If you need more, you can just use more batteries (and since all of the batteries are interchangeable, if you have other Ego stuff like the chain saw, blower, trimmer, whatever, you should be set in that regard).

Unfortunately the deck, casters, and all of the stuff not directly-related to the batteries/motors looks cheap. That stamped deck looks like something you'd find on a $2K zero-turn made for the 3/4 acre flat yard with no obstacles/tree roots. A $5K ZT should have a welded steel deck and a much heavier frame, not to mention a larger deck option than 42" (most are 60" in this price range). I like EGO's stuff, but I don't think I'd recommend this one unless they just have a perfectly-flat yard that will keep the deck from getting bent up.

Interesting... But still not enough for me. :( Ryobi has a 42" electric ZTR as well. My neighbor has one and loves it.

And now I'm excited, because in searching for the link for the 42", it looks like things are improving in the big electric area. Ryobi now has a 54" model, Mean Green has a 74-incher now, and Gravely has a 60" electric ZTR as well. Maybe I'll spend my weekend shopping instead of rebuilding a carburetor.
