Everyone say yay to "clean electricity". Now laugh at the reality.
They are "saving" a whole 100 liters of diesel a day.
Aside from the BS ecological "advantages", I still think it would be a good idea from a maintenance perspective if it weren't for having to keep the diesels for backup. Keeping those things operational without using them regularly probably costs just as much as it does to run them daily.
