Engine is a Lycoming o235-c1. I have a situation where if I tighten the 90° elbow at the cylinder the oil drain tube itself will not connect to the elbow. If I back the elbow off slightly to get the flared tube to thread in the elbow, I'm getting leaking out of the threads of the elbow.
I've ordered a new elbow just hoping that the thread position or depth may be slightly different and eliminate this problem.
In the meantime I'm wondering if there is another possible solution. I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!
And to be clear I would like a Lycoming acceptable solution and not "it's an experimental solution".
