But the accommodations ashore are much, MUCH nicer.
What's more interesting here is if Ballard follows TIGHAR's suggestions and doesn't find a blessed thing. TIGHAR would have a hard time, afterwards, trying to fund additional searches in the same area. Any claims of finding evidence elsewhere will probably result in even more skepticism. Might have to give up looking for Earhart entirely. Even if they switch focus to Miller, Leslie Howard, Roald Amundsen, etc., their credibility is going to be hurt. In addition, few other names are as "bankable" as Earhart.
