Dynon DRX

I have a Dynon DRX in the plane that sends ads-b traffic to a Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 running Avare. The GPS location drops out from time to time resulting in a black screen on Avare. I suspect the Dynon DRX location is to blame for the loss of GPS lock.
questions...
Have others had this issue with the DRX?
Is the antenna on the DRX just for ads-b reception and not GPS?
Is the DRX able to use an external GPS antenna?

Been running the DRX for 2 trouble free years - sits on the glare shield in ridiculously hot Nevada and haven't ever lost signal - gps/adsb to iPad mini running FlyQ. I wonder if the issue is with Avare or your tablet?

Thanks for your post. The tablet runs fine with a Garmin glo. It's just the Dynon drx that it has dropouts with. Both the glo and the drx are in the same general location so it appears the drx requires a better view of the sky. I have them stuffed in the leading edge forward of the spar in a composite wing. May try relocation on the drx to see if that helps.

Ah.Yes, I tried to have it slightly 'hidden' at the begging but it wouldn't pull a signal. Now on coaming ahead of compass which gives it clear sky view.
