Drive from Lincoln to Omaha

Hell of a drive this morning from Lincoln to Omaha. I've never seen a storm throw down so much rain. I was in hail for about 35 miles. It would have been one hell of a ride in an airplane.

Seeing stuff like this from the ground helps me remember to say way the hell away in an airplane. I wouldn't want to be anywhere near the mess this thing created. Bad enough in a car.

Leah and I just brushed some major junk on the way from KC to Wichita last night about 10-11 PM. completely surrounded by fantastic lightning.

Something like that just passed by here. It was a gully washer.

It's sunny now with few low clouds.

Last night (I made a just 'cause fun jaunt at sunset to Lake Geneva and Delavan just past Lake Lawn. It's amazing how damn near Wisconsin I live now.) I discovered that I need new wipers so I'm really glad I wasn't driving in it. I got back before the real rain hit last night.

The drive was uncomfortable enough that that's when I decided maybe I don't wanna drive to Gastons.
