Hi, I have a special issuance for ankylosing spondylitis and am gathering my paperwork to renew my medical. My last visit with my rheumatologist shows I haven't lost any mobility and disease activity is low, however in the exam notes it was noted I have severe dorsal kyphosis and limited ROM. This has never been noted or mentioned to me before. Should I be concerned or will the FAA see my numbers haven't changed and still issue? I recently had a DOT physical and that Dr listed my kyphosis as mild and was happy with my ROM. Any thoughts?

FAA may want to fly with you......it depends on how you look on paper, total, and on your AME's detailed assement. When I have one of these situations, my assessment may be, a whole single spaced page long.....
