Oh goodie. Emotionally disturbed disk drives.
 
if you've ever had a damn Dell, you've already experienced emotionally disturbed disk drives. :rolleyes:
 
Yeah, but he's verbally abusing a JBOD array. That poor array is already suffering from low self-esteem just based on their name.

I suppose they could be called "JBODD" and really lower their self esteem.
 
I'm sorry but you never really learn how to swear UNTIL you work with computers!!!! It is well known that a properly placed expletive gets most modern electronic equipment to function better.

Would his disk drives work even better if the ambient noise level did not require shouting to be heard?
Shouldn't he be wearing some hearing protection?
Whatever possessed him to consider screaming into the array?

Have you ever had the pleasure of visiting a network or computer operations center? :)

1. No.
2. Optional, but the noise level is generally about the same as a good private party.
3. Have you worked with computers for any signficant period of time? :)

3. Since 1982. Well, even before that, but I don't count 1974 when I worked with data input operations. And I don't count 1963 when I first learned Boolean algebra and logic gates.

I don't know nothin' 'bout arrays... but this damn Dell has me understanding why anyone would scream at any part of any damn computer. :yes:
