Pants will be dark blue jeans, worn over blue boxers, held up by dark blue suspenders, complemented by a tan vest, with black shoes and socks.

Thanks.

Rich

A fashionista would probably say yes since it has the little blue box, but I'd go with something else

Technically they are called braces, not suspenders. And brown shoes might go better than black.

It'll be fine in a dark theatre...

You need the rainbow suspenders. Or the yellow ones that look like a ruler.

I've got some socks that would go with that....

You are really asking US for fashion advice?

You should come to one of our KC area get-togethers and see who you are dealing with.

Troubleshooting a video server problem for a friend of mine that actually turned out to be a client-side problem.

I used to have rainbow suspenders. I wonder where they are.

How was your flight?

Hmmm... I have brown work boots and brown snow boots, but no brown shoes. Maybe it will snow!

I'd go with the tuxedo-print t-shirt. Casual and formal all in one.

Who dressed you? I would not leave the house with that tie, get a power tie, red

Seriously. Have you BEEN to an EAA, AOPA...or ANY general aviation pilot event before?

EAA, many. AOPA, none. Others, a few.

You have to understand that that shirt is the first button-down shirt I've bought in quite a while that wasn't made of flannel or thick wool, so I'm not exactly a slave to fashion. I still dress pretty much the same way I did when I was 12.

The tan vest will help the tie.

I forgot to mention that I'll also be wearing a brown cowboy hat. I wear it pretty much all the time, so it slipped my mind. I figure the tie should bring it all together.

Kinda like the Dude's rug really pulled that room together.

You mean you chose that shirt knowing that the rest of your clothes are on the warmer color scale? I guess some people might be able to pull it off...

Basically. I also wanted one that would work for a variety of common situations which might dictate that I wear an actual suit. The other dress shirt I own is about ten years old and of a rather similar design, but it's getting a bit ragged. Because I am a tightwad seldom have any need to wear a suit, I like to own a single dress shirt that is appropriate for a wide variety of social events. One wouldn't want to wear too joyful a shirt to a funeral, for example. Not that the deceased would care very much, but others might.

Of course, it's also true that my vision may have been a bit impaired when I bought the shirt. I'd had an eye exam a few hours earlier and my pupils were still a bit dilated from the drops. I'd waited an hour or two in the lobby before driving home, and as long as the sun was still out, the photochromic lenses in my eyeglasses darkened my world enough that driving was no problem. But as the sun started to set, the lenses lightened, and the glare from the headlights became a bother. I was flinging curses at drivers for not dimming their lights (and also wondering when pink headlights had become popular) when I realized that perhaps it was the drops.

So I pulled into a Sam's Club and did some shopping. They have great meat prices in Sam's Club. It all looked much pinker than usual, too, so I bought a lot of it. But then again, everything in the store looked much pinker than it usually did. In fact, I was wondering whether Sam's was deliberately enhancing the meat's appearance, or courting the gay market, by switching all its lights to pink. The latter, I decided, was more likely because it also explained the pink headlights. It must have been some sort of gay pride holiday that I hadn't heard about.

After killing enough time in Sam's for my vision to finish clearing up, I drove home. I noticed that the headlights had turned white again, so apparently the holiday was over. But I had a long drive ahead of me and I had to keep the meat cold. Fortunately, it also was about 20F outside; so I opened the windows and turned off the heat to keep the meat cold. By the end of the trip I was having a hard time feeling my fingers and toes and icicles had formed under my nostrils, but the meat was fine.

The bolo tie....a fashion mistake made by many...

All ties suck. If I could go back in time and allowed to change history, I would not kill Hitler as a recent politician said he would. I'd kill the guy who invented the tie. That guy was pure evil.

How would you know which he's wearing??? Have you been in his closet?

I mostly wear braces, but I do own a pair of suspenders.

I hope you're not saying that with pride in your voice. I think your coordination is fine. And yes, I regularly get compliments on my style and I don't follow the trends either. I wear things that are timeless (with a few fashionable items here-there).
