President Obama got caught staring at the behind of a 16 year old girl. Being the father of 3 beautiful daughters I notice this alot. Would it be asking too much for men to have a little decorum and understand that people notice this stuff?

Mr. President, would you like men dreweling over your daughters?

This is not a political thread. This is a thread about treating women, (and their fathers) with respect.

I love Sarkozy's expression.

:D

I prefer to think of it as admiration rather than lechery.

And that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Yes women never do that. Like when I had to talk to a few of the women and my work to stop staring at the construction workers insted of doing there job.:nono:

Back to your original post.
I saw a guy and his duaghter walking in a Casino last weekend. Ever so often he would say LOUD. "This is my daughter and she is only 16 quit looking"

When I'm with my girlfriend in a restaurant, she likes to look at what other people are eating. She doesn't touch it, but she does look, and I think that this is an important distinction.

Looking at a person's eyes or hair is not the same as staring at her behind or breasts like a salvating dog, I think that is an important distiction,...... hence the thread. Besides your GF is looking at what is on the menu, clearly a 16 year old girl is not.

PS: I'm a long-time quarter horse guy as well. Nobody ever gives me hell for checking out their hind-quarters.

Wow, now they're complaining that Obama actually looked at a girl. What next, that he actually breathed air?

Sure it is political. The second you decided to address it as "Mr President" you made this post into a criticism of the President of the US. had you intended it as you claim you would have addressed him in another manner or picked another subject. It is not like the president is the only male to have ever looked at a woman.

How can a single photograph, which is a moment in time, prove that someone is "staring", which is something that happens over a period of time? I don't see even an allegation of staring in the picture description. Maybe you're projecting yourself into the photo?

Me, I'll take the 5th. :)

True! This does seem to be a bi-partisan charateristic! :D

Cut the guy a break!! We have no idea of the context of the photo, taken at just the right time, any photo can look unflattering.

Methinks he doth protest too much.

Dreweling? Many men have wandering eyes, few men wonder enough.

Obama may appear lecherous in the still image, in the video it's a non-event.

No, as the President people look to him to set an example.

He is my President too Scott, and I expect a higher standard in public, in a foreign country, representing my country. As a father of two daughters he should know better. This has nothing to do with politics as has everything to do with him being a leader and a father.

The subject of your first sentence is in disagreement with your second sentence. You are dinging him because he is president. Ergo you are making a political issue out of this.

The camera captured a coincidence. I don't think this particular image is indicative of anything other than the momentary position of each person captured when the image was made.

GMAFB. I mean really...

Edit: Just in case I was unclear, this is about the most laughably ridiculous and absolutely pathetic attempt at (purely political) scandal-mongering I've seen in quite some time. Seriously. GMAFB.

Hang on -- Just because the subject is a political figure doesn't necssarily make the discussion political.

I disagree with the OP's premise (much ado about nothing), but good grief -- not everything about O is automatically SZ.

At least she's better looking than Monica Lewinsky, at least from behind. :D

Normally I'd agree. But...

... the highlighted parts there pretty clearly cross the line into what should or shouldn't be expected of a president, and that's 100% pure, Grade A Spin Zone fodder.

No but his demanding the president act more presidential does make it political. He is dinging the subject of the photo purely for political reasons. His intent and subject are political.

Had someone come on here and spoken about George Bush picking his nose in public. As shown in this picture

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/telegraph/multimedia/archive/00648/news-graphics-2007-_648946a.jpg

Then complained that the 'president was a nose picking fool', that too would have been political and masses of PoA people who are pro-right would have gotten their painties in a huge nuclear bunch.

Argh!!!!

Come on guy's be honest.

If you did not start checking out 16 year old's before you were 16 raise your hands.

If you still don't check out some 16 year old's you need to get out of the coffine a little more often.

If you were photographed all the time everyday whenever you were out of your bedroom you would have some pretty bad looking moments immortalized also.

When he acts and gets his 13 year old Niece pregnant then there is something to discuss.

Now I have to get get my binoculars and watch the beach for while. Never know when one of them Canadian Geese will try to cross our border illegally.

Just kidding that's the guy's in the border control cars job.

I agree. Not that I'd like to see this in SZ, lest it reduce the average intellectual worth of posts overall there by more than a few points.

OK.. got it.

You are the reasonable advocate for determining that political discussions be limited to the SZ.

As opposed to those "masses" of "pro-right" people on POA would have "gotten their painties" into a "huge nuclear bunch."

Got it.

Thought you might like that since there are some people who complain about the tremendous amount of left wing bias on PoA. If anything this place is more Fair and Balancedtm than most pilot groups.

This one's open-and-shut: The poster has brought up his personal opinion of what kind of an "example" he believes a political official -- it's entirely unimportant which one it is -- is setting, what kind of "standard in public" he "expects" from that official, how he believes the official should be "representing my country", and what kind of "leader" he believes the official is being.

Clear as day: SZ.

Add to that the fact that it's incredibly ridiculous, and what should really happen, IMHO, is that it should be deleted with extreme prejudice, for the sake of the IQs of potential future readers. But that's just me. :dunno:

OMG!1!!1!1!

I'm sure the cameras didn't capture him humming, "Baby's got Back", either. Scandalous!

Maybe you could conduct sensitivity training for the President and David Letterman...

Trapper John

That's a nice behind....

Er, what was the question?

Seriously though, you have got to be kidding. If your daughter has an attractive figure, and wears something to accentuate it, people may look appreciatively.

It seems as if the question was simply to stir the Obama pot (take it to the spin zone then) or a manifestation of the frustrations of an overprotective father.

Hard to say from this still photo exactly what he is glancing at - looks more to me like he is looking at something on the ground off to the left of the photo.

But on your question - if you don't want me to look, don't wave it around in front of my face. Lets face it, there are a lot of women who walk aound with necklines that plunge down to...

Again -- I disagree with the premise.

But I agree that those in positions of power have additional responsibilities -- including the Governor of South Carolina.

Which sounds like a most interesting discussion -- and one that belongs in the SZ because of the fact that it's entirely political in nature.

Maybe he is looking at her feet, saying look at that toe polish, she needs to take lessons from the ladies of POA.:D:D:D

While I've said this before it bears repeating. Some day Obama will really screw the pooch. He will. He's human, and humans make honest to gosh mistakes. However, after the all the Muslim accusations, gun scares, flag pins, tea parties, and now this tripe the conservatives will have shredded every bit of credibility they ever had.

I look at the incredibly pathetic and plainly desperate attempt to smear the president in the OP (and subsequent posts) and all I can say is, "will have?"

Again -- just because a discussion revolves around a political figure doesn't make the discussion political.

However, since the POA Management typically views anything and everything that even obliquely references anything contentious as "SZ material," I'll concede that in the POA universe, anything about Donkeys and Elephants sould be limited to SZ.
