Line Up and Wait
After having my gall bladder removed and a full recovery, I started walking 5 miles a day.
Well today, at the encouragement of a pilot friend, I entered my first 5K run/walk race.
I came in 4th in my age group. My time was 48:05:09. I had a blast.
So all of you couch potatoes out there, If I can do it at age 66 so can you.
I have a diet that works for me. It consists of a few rules:
1. No caffeine, or very little.
2. Eat what I want but keep my serving size under 3 grams of fat.
3. No carbonated beverages.
4. No fried food. Wife bakes chicken in oven. Skinless.
Okay, I posted the pictures and I am not bragging but encouraging fellow pilots to start losing weight and get active. I feel better than I have felt in years.
I enjoyed it so much that I have set a goal to start running. My daughter and grand daughter are planning on running the race next year and I plan on being able to run it also.

p.s.> I got a nice Hays Track T-shirt for participating.
