Descent at 9,300fpm...

I was sitting in the back of an MU2 and the pic was practicing emerg descents. From 12k he pointed it about 50 deg down and it was a rush to say the least.
 
I think I'd be fine with it if I was the one in control. I don't know how I'd feel on a giant people carrier.

Hopefully the FA would make some kind of cabin announcement since it was a known medical emergency.

It's not nearly that dramatic in a people mover....




I've both done +10,000fpm and -10,000fpm in airliners and either direction isn't nearly as exciting as one would think... especially heading downhill while up high.. the air is thin and the fpm accumulate quickly.


Oh and Scary Mary from the OP's article can suck it... she should never be given a microphone.
