When I was a young boy dealing with an overactive immune system destroying platelets I also had some of the worse dermatitis you can imagine.

Years later I still get small patches even after switching to unscented laundry detergents, stopping fabric softeners and generally just stopping all typical topical chemicals other than deodorant. I do have a bit of hay fever kinda thing too as in allergic to the dust that blows from combines during crop harvest. I used to ride with Dad in an old gas powered 715 combine, door and window open. When I got home stuffy nose and watery eyes were terrible. I was about 5 so didn't know any better.

My grandparents did the snow bird thing to Texas for many years but stopped probably a decade ago. Not sure if they stopped due to physical or financial reasons. I've always wondered how moving from the Midwest (lived here all my life) to something like Florida would influence my health. Have you ever noticed changes?

Everyone is different - I've noticed that I've become more sensitive to pollen as I've gotten older. Heat and humidity doesn't seem to matter other than sweating a lot...of course I sweat with any exertion ever since I reached man-o-pause...

I had bad eczema as a child. Doctors suggested that moving to a warmer, more humid climate would help, so my parents moved to FL. I was too young to know if it actually helped, but they say it did. And colder, dryer weather seems to be worse for what remains of my eczema, which is basically just dry skin with some small flare ups every now and then.

Logically it seems like it would help. Another problem with colder weather is that if you are in a building with forced air heat it makes it even dryer.
