I would guess within the next few months. Hopefully it will involve United and you guys can rid yourselves of that scum bag Tilton. Truly sad how quickly people forget (by no fault of their own but because of inept management and horrible service) what a proud and storied airline United is.
I can't speak for any of the aircraft that United flies but I have learned in flying a computer with wings that rebooting is definitely a troubleshooting step... on the ground at least.Notwithstanding my surprise that "rebooting" the aircraft was an accepted maintenance item, it just sounded odd and unusual.

I hope my United flight in about 6 hours does better. 8 1/2 hours at Narita is long enough, thank you.
Bet it was an Airbus. It happens occasionally.
International trips typically do better as far as on time.
Yup, they do. Only took about 7 1/2 hours in the air from NRT to SEA, and we left basically on time. So what happened to screw things up? Someone left a ham sandwitch in a paper bag at SEA and they had a security hissy fit that kept us waiting for the trains to start running again so I could get out of the S concourse after clearing customs.
I hope you guys never get rid of channel 9. Too much fun.
They just annoy the customers who blame it all on UAL and could careless about the management issues there. It is almost as dumb as when UAL comes over to where I work to protest our company doing business with UAL's bad management. We signed a contract airfare deal. The people that the UAL employees are inconveniencing with their protest have no say in that decision. All that is accomplished is that we complain even more about UAL to our travel department. In the end the result at best will be we take our business elsewhere and UAL looses a several million dollar per year customer. We still fly but on another airpline. Who is really hurt? UAL management or the UAL employees?I hope we don't either. And I don't know what the captains who won't use it are trying to prove.

There ARE a few passengers occasionally that second guess what happens on the radio, however.
Well, it's kinda hard to say the flight is delayed by weather, when it's really delayed by "whether it's full" if the passengers can hear what's going on, right?

Huh?
Mike, with all due respect, that is a silly statement.
Even factoring in the smiley
Now, I had an FO give me a dirty look when I suggested that I was going to listen to ch 9 to see how many different flights checked in saying "with you".
I really believe that those of you that like to make an issue out of this should GET A LIFE!!!
Given that those delays are usually implemented on the ground before you board, how would ch 9 fit in?
If they tell you Chicago is snowed in and you hear no mention of it?
I agree it's ground, and it's not even FAA doing on the ground. My point is the gate agents and whoever dispatches uses weather as the excuse for everything.
