@MBDiagMan wants to get fly in together. Soo... let's do it!

Which direction? Should we go? North for a change?

I'll need a ride since 55WB is in annual inspection

How about a 200 mile radius instead of 300. (But that place looks interesting)

I'm in! I'll be the guy in the CAR with AggieMike...

:(

Effin' annual

Stearman Field is a very nice place. Strong community support, good on field restaurant, very nice runway.

Okay I found it! 1K1! That would be in easy reach with the Mooney, but not so much with the Piggy.

Somewhere closer I could make it in the Piggy. I am trying to get the Mooney and transition into it before Spring Break because I promised my girlfriend that I will take her to Galveston then. That flight is better suited to the Mooney. If the schedule comes together, we could make it somewhere closer in the Piggy before Spring Break. After Spring Break we could fly somewhere until April 18th. That is the date we are leaving for Europe for vacation. Be back May 9th.

I wish you guys were still interested in Tyler. That would be a great Piggy flight for us. That said, I will do my best to make anything you guys come up with work for us. We don't normally fly anywhere on Sunday's though. Saturday's are usually good.

I don't know any of you really at all, But I'm in the Dallas area and if I'm not already flying for work that weekend, I'd love to crash.

Love to crash? Well, I don't know if I am ready for that.:)

Seriously though, I am sure that everyone would be happy to have you.

When does everyone expect this wing ding to take place?

What about Granbury or Mexia? Granbury has cars and there are lots of restaurants to choose from. Mexia may/may not have a car, but a tasty BBQ joint is just an easy walk down the road.

Kathy calls Mexia!

Sounds good. Land ~10:30.. watch some other greasers, and then walk to said restaurant.

Welp, I'll try to find an airplane. The one I normally would rent seems to be booked all day Saturday.

Okay, KLXY, this Saturday, before 10:30 AM. I will talk to my girlfriend tonight and see if that works for her. Then, of course, all I need is Tailwheel weather.

Sandy has two showers Saturday, one of which she is scheduled to host, but says she will try to make arrangements so that she can fly with me. It is great having a lady that loves to fly. Looks as if weather is going to cooperate also.

Love to, but have to go to Grandmother-in-Law's Birthday Party.

Her 110th Birthday.

Very few things beat flying, but celebrating something like that....does. Congrats to a lucky lady.

That's the point. We didn't know each other till we showed up!

@AggieMike88 - I might be flying the Cardinal so you can ride with us. But :fcross: we'll be in Candy. Will advise midweek.
Understood... advise when able.

Wow Spike! That's great! I thought my Mom was really hanging in there at 92. My girlfriend and I took her out near Brownwood for Valentine's Day to see my 91 year old cousin. Sounds like they are a couple of youngsters compared to your Grandma in law.

Maybe you can make it next time. I don't think I have seen you since a dinner that we had at a steakhouse in Dallas about five years ago when IFlyTwins was in town.

Sounds like fun. Count me in.

I'll be there with a friend of mine who's working on his private. Hopefully it wont be too long a trip in the 150.

Ok, if I count right, we currently have AggieMike, JCranford, me and possibly +1, MBDiagman +1, GrahamC +1, Ravioli + 1, Scott@KTYR, Frogs (and tadpoles?), and Flyin'Gator. Kirby's is kinda a small place, so I'll call tomorrow and see if we can reserve some of the picnic tables out on the covered patio. Also, for anyone who hasn't been to Mexia, the ramp area is not expansive, so be prepared to park in the grass should the pavement get filled up.

Reminder that me and John will need to ride with others, as 55WB is currently in annual.

Rob hinted at room in his Cardinal for me. So we'll have to find someone willing to strap @JCranford onto their wing or empennage. He rides motorcycles and is a top level parachute instructor, so he likes the wind in his face.

I'm unable to attend. I had a morning commitment pop up so my whole day is shot

and, horror, one could actually Drive to a fly-in. It happens
