Isn't there an ice storm or something going on today? or is weather different down state?
We're getting rain instead of ice down here in the deep southIsn't there an ice storm or something going on today? or is weather different down state?
Rain/snow/sleet/ice depending on where you are - or all of the above if you get to commute. Guess which category I fall in?Isn't there an ice storm or something going on today? or is weather different down state?
For those of us not familiar with business jets . . . What's the anomaly? Old jet?
It is a Westwind. Was developed by Aero Commander/Israeli aircraft. This was one of the later ones. There are only a handful of these left flying. One of the first capable corporate/business jets. For me it’s one of those you hear about but never see.For those of us not familiar with business jets . . . What's the anomaly? Old jet?
Cool! The very definition of low acquisition cost coupled with high operating costs!
Figured it was something like that, the cockpit eyebrow windows made me think Aero Commander when I first saw it.It is a Westwind. Was developed by Aero Commander/Israeli aircraft. I did an angel flight to KOSU today, and turned around to see this landing:It is a Westwind. Was developed by Aero Commander/Israeli aircraft. This was one of the later ones. last character is a "D"Tail number doesn’t match the current registration.
FAA registration states it should be a Sorrell SNS-2. Single engine
Nice. That’s the same one!!
Correct on the first part. First I've heard of the Gulfstreams but I'm sure that will be kept very quiet if true. It'll be hard to miss them as I taxi by. I believe there are still four Challenger 600 series in the fleet today, 2 of which live here. All tracking blocked on Flightaware but the N numbers are somewhat obvious if you catch them on ADS-B exchange or FlightRadar.New hangar going up at BMI on the site of the former restaurant. Word on the street is it's State Farm, and it's going to house their 5 new Gulfstreams.

Its a Convair 440 that's been sitting there as long as I've been around the airport. Used to be an old DC-3 next to it, that we got to see again at OSH since they sold it to Bassler Conversions. Anyone need a project? What appears to be a Martin 202? @keen9 any intel on this beast? Looked like it was painted with a foam roller...
Whichever camera you're using for these photos, I need one
Looks like a Susie.

bummer. Have to catch it on your way back up. You flying the Arrow down? After hearing and seeing everyone do the low approach to the Shuttle Landing Facility, I was quite disappointed when I was denied because “they have a bunch of Teslas on the runway” haha what?
