Checked Marion, IL off my list today with an ILS breaking out at 300 AGL. That's by far the lowest approach I've shot, and it was really cool breaking out and seeing the runway that close.

It still takes my breath away every time I pop out on top.

Its funny now I think about it. I have a private pesticide license, so I can't apply pesticides for hire, only my own crops. Wonder where they got that idea. There's also "ratings" for aquaculture, arborculture, aerial application, etc.

I used to do all my own spraying, but I really hated it and it takes a lot of time, so I've been hiring it done the last year or so. Just sold my big 90' sprayer this spring, but I still need the license to do granular insecticide with the planter, and the little touch ups with the ATV sprayer.
 
I was cruising down the river at 500' before turning right at the river mouth to go down the coast and saw this banner plane so I circled around behind him. Didn't want to get too close without talking him so I climbed a bit to give him room in case he turned toward me.

Doing my second oil change, figured I had better check the plugs. Glad I did. I feel like the last annual done by the previous owner may have been a little lax. They all failed except the bottom left which was the only champion.

I was pleased with the color and cleanliness. I think that means I'm operating the engine in a reasonable manner.

They all failed….what? ohms test, gap, bomb test?
