Cool landing

Neat! Can I try? :D

Looks to be a well-executed landing. Tail low, vertical speed at touchdown low enough to keep from "digging in" (note how the pitch attitude of the plane does not change). Also, you can see that the left wheel gets a bit deeper than the right (the plane's left wheel, that is) and causes a yaw to that side, but still well under control.

I would so love to do that. I think I need to add a 185 to my "lottery fleet." :D

Proving once again that there's more than one way to wash a belly!

FOR SALE:
Low time 185... Excellent condition.. Only flown on Sundays by a little old lady...

His wheels look like they kicked up some fairly hefty rocks as he went up on the beach. I wonder how many dents he has in his belly?

I'm curious -- do larger (tundra) tires tend to kick up fewer rocks like that? Or is their main benefit in a situation like this keeping your belly higher up off the ground?

There is benefit from not having treads in rocks. Also, the softer you touch down, the less rocks fly.
