Does anyone know of a Cessna 150/152 or piper cherokee 140/150 in Colorado for a cheap block rate? Wet or Dry is fine but I'm looking for anywhere from 10 to 100 hours at a total cost of about $60 per hour. Any leads are appreciated.

Rocky Mountain Flight School at KBJC Broomfield has three Cessna 152 Sparrowhawks (125hp) for $76 hourly, wet.

That is by far the cheapest flying I have found in a commercial organization.

Currently flying there. I love the airplanes and did my training with them but the membership cost plus the hourly is getting up there. Looking for something closer to 60 or 65 per hour if I can.

Take a look at Centennial Flyers at KAPA. Not quite the $60 you are looking for but, at least as of when I left the area, low hourlies and very low membership fee.

You'll probably have to buy your own for that rate. 100 hrs @ $60/hr = $6000. Buy a 150 for $18000, fly it for a hundred hours and sell it for $18000. Free.

Dream on. You left out fuel, maintenance, insurance, tiedown, sales tax and a few other things that crop up.
