I have a misdemeanor minor in possession of alcohol from 15 years ago. I got my first class medical and listed it there. Filling out the student pilot application can they deny it for that reason? Or am I in the clear once I have my medical

What is the exact question on the student pilot application? The FAA is mostly interested in DUI/DWI convictions & drug conviction. But they are getting really touchy about any lying or omission on forms. Call your local FSDO & ask him.

If you were already issued a Class 1 medical and listed the alcohol related misdemeanor on that application, it would seem to me that you are in the clear on your student pilot application. I presume that the misdemeanor did not involve operation of a motor vehicle or other type of incident or behavior, correct?
