It became annual time again, for the car toy(Austin Healey); so I went to get it inspected.
While I was talking to the service center owner's wife, in about five minutes Jon came in and said "You're all set when you pay Sandy."

"Hmm? I didn't hear the horn toot; see the headlights come on high and low beam; the turn signals get tested; or the brake lights demonstrated."

"You didn't? Imagine that." After a wink he said, "I know the car." After taking a few photos, off I went. If any of you are interested in a classic or two, see the signage. Those few of you who may be familiar with the former Naval Air Station Brunswick will quickly recognize the Fat Boy sign at the left of photo #2.

What a great place. I should take my Fiat 1500 Spyder there.

Classic?

Now this- this- is a classic!

spike when i was a kid my grandpa won a raffle at the local car dealership. an early 70's cadillac, hard top. he won it. i got to drive it once. what a boat.

Spike:
About 35 years ago I bought a Cadillac El Dorado "Del Caballero"(which I may have misspelled). It was 2-door, loaded, electric sun-roof, white leather upholstery. I bought it from a funeral home which had used it as a flower car. It had a 570ci engine in it; and the local gas station attendants routinely asked me if they could look into the trunk and "count the quarters." What was unique about it was that there were only something like 35 of them made. Made? Some custom shop somewhere reworked the El Dorado with many special features, the most visible of which was the front end which looked more like a Rolls Royce, there being so much chrome and grille area. It was a fun car but when it developed engine problems it was going to cost a fortune to remedy.

I didn't see it inside the shop area. I go by there often and will stop to inquire of Jon and Sandra and try to get a photo of it. Back in the winter and spring they were redoing a Bentley. It's been sold.

Sorry to take so long, Troy, re the 1929 Stutz. I got this one today.

Sandra told me the MG-TD and TF are both sold; however, they have another MG-TD coming into the shop soon.
