CFI/CFII with Cessna 210 Experience

Perhaps this has been asked and answered before; couldn’t find it if it had been.

Is there a single source outside of a Cessna specific pilots website where one might find lists of Flight Instructors, by State or Region, who have hours in specific aircraft.

FAA or industry association or group sponsored, perhaps?

I’m selling mine, and I’ve been asked five times in the last 2 weeks by potential buyers if I know of any CFI in their area who could give them the insurance checkout needed for a complex, high performance aircraft (T210 in this case)?

Two have also asked about Mechanics who’ve got experience working on the 210.

@JCranford is a good CFI with 210 experience

Wingfield Aviation at KFWS is a good mechanic who really understands the 210. I think he owns one too.
 
I used to teach in one back at 5C1, but it's been a while, but I fly similar gear a lot with the Cardinal. The engine's just a tad bigger and it's heavier.

Not quite as such, no. There is no agency who I routinely report numbers of hours in various aircraft in order to list them on a website.

There are some CFI listings through such agencies as AOPA and SAFE. These generally have a data field where the CFI can enter what types of things they specialize in, but unless the CFI specifically enters "1000 hours in Cessna 210" you wouldn't have any way to know. Most listings don't get anywhere near that detailed.

You say "outside of a Cessna specific pilots website", but really, a type club is exactly the place to go to find a knowledgeable CFI. I don't know about the 210, but if you were selling a Bonanza and someone was looking for a CFI, the obvious place to point them would be to the American Bonanza Society.

Tagging on to this. Anyone know CFI/CFII instructions in the mid atlantic area that are willing to come to you to do a 10 hour insurance checkout on a 210. Thanks

@JCranford works for Van Bortel and is known to fly all over the place fetching aircraft to and from the dealership.

Perhaps he could be persuaded to come out to your area and help.
 
I fit the requirements, but, am too busy to be traveling to locations to do it. If you happen to sell it next month to someone in Wisconsin, I might be able to help.

Try Jet Air in Galesburg, IL or Iowa City, IA. They also have experienced mechanics. I have a couple of hundred hours in a T210, but it's been 10 years and I'm no way current.
 
One of my guys owns a 210 and teaches for me in Rapid City, SD.
