Cessna 182E Rudder

Hello,
I am in need of a replacement rudder for my Cessna 182E. There are quite a few rudders available on Ebay but I am wondering what year ranges are compatible with the 1962 182E? Thank you in advance for the help!!

When selecting parts use only the aircraft serial number. However, before you buy any parts always check with the mechanic who will install them first.

This is not a current IPC but should get you started.

Good advice from 'Bell206', but the problem is sellers often lose track of the serial number of the aircraft the part came from.

But using the IPC info above, you would need rudder part # 1231001-5, which would be found on aircraft serial number 18253599 - 18257625. Then use this chart (also in the IPC) to find the corresponding model year ranges:



You can see that these serial number ranges correspond to the 1962 182E through 1966 182J models. Any rudder off of one of those model years should fit.
