CAFB plane crashed this morning

Pilot ejected safely. Still not sure which airframe or solo or instructional flight.

Sorry, but low wings don't work well above 20 alpha. They are, of course, superior in all other flight regimes .

Unless, of course, you have the grunt to go vertical. Then AOA is pretty much moot.
