C340 down in Covington, GA

Details are sparse, but it appears N84GR was the aircraft that crashed into a General Mills truck dock a couple of hours ago. No survivors.

That story says it was a twin Cessna.

N666WP, a friend’s 182, is just fine. The C340 that crashed was not a pilot from our airport. Very sad.

My friend's husband runs that plant but wasn't on site at the time. Condolences to loved ones.

Correction: It was N84GR, a Cessna 340. My condolences to the family and friends.

Have a buddy who flew a 340 for awhile. Great plane but required a lot of respect with engine out issues. Witness heard engine sputter and rolled. VMC roll??

Misfueling a distinct possibility.
I never allowed an -unknown to me- ramp personnel to refuel the C421 that I flew. The similar C425 had turbine engines and uses Jet-A.
Twice I caught ramp technicians pull up to the 421 in a Jet-A truck.
Thank Goodness for the Hoover nozzle.
