Buckeye Arizona, Cessna, One Fatality

Yeah, just saw that photo (they just added it in place of "breaking" placeholder). Not sure why they say Cessna in the article. I'll see if I can chance the post topic.

It looks like it came to rest "standing" on at least its mains. Of course the engine could have wound up in the front seats, but landing gear-down and not ripping the gear off generally would indicate, to me, a relatively mild impact ... maybe - maybe not. Are Bonanzas known for doors sticking closed in a crash?

I'm speculating that this is possibly the path, based on reported time of EMS callouts. Takeoff from Goodyear.

Subsequent VFR flights approaching the airport seem to turn around shortly thereafter. The CTAF recordings on LiveATC appear to be offline.

The next arrival at Buckeye is a medical flight arriving about an hour later. be35.png

Updated to two fatalities, per various media.

Speculating tail is N13AR (via another flight tracking subscription I have).

A google images search on this tail seems to indicate a consistent paint scheme.

Editor’s Note: An earlier version of this story indicated that it was a Cessna aircraft involved in the crash. The NTSB has since said that it was a Beech E35.
