Scenario, single pilot IFR twin engine. Where do you brief, yourself and passengers?

1. Brief passengers before start.
2. Brief yourself, crew briefing out loud, takeoff performance variables and tactics.
3. Brief the approach, crew briefing out loud, call out altitudes....."thousand to go".......

Where else do you brief passengers or yourself?

Before getting in the plane, never ceases to amaze me how some folks treat a plane like a jungle gym :rolleyes2:

Brief pax on entry and exit from plane, seat belts and safety equipment. Brief departure procedure, and approach procedure if IMC,to myself .

Pre-loading: "Stay behind the wing..."

(after landing): "Just walk straight back until you are well clear of the airplane. Do not approach the airplane from the front under any circumstances."

Other than that, pax briefing takes place before engine start.

Before loading I tell passengers to stay behind the wing. And to watch their head while going through the door.

Passenger brief after loading patient/passengers and before I take my seat.

Self brief...IFR or VFR....before the passengers/patient show up for the flight.

After landing..... again, stay behind the wing, do not close anything, lockers or door, walk straight away from the plane.

And I will beat myself up pretty good on de-briefing after an instrument approach.
