Boeing 747-8 or Boeing 747-800?

Guys, just wondering but what is the official name for this 747 aircraft type? I noticed that some FAA documents refer this type as the Boeing 747-800 while the rest call it the Boeing 747-8.

Pretty sure Boeing with with the 747-8 as the marketing name for the aircraft. Same as the 737-7/8/9 Max and 787-8/9/10

BOEING 747-8

That is the way the aircraft is identified in Boeing Manuals.

The type rating on the back of my pilot certificate says B-747-4. This is the type rating for the 747-8 as well. The Boeing marketing names are 747-400 and 747-8 respectively. The FAA registrations say BOEING 747-400 or BOEING 747-8F.
