You have an issue off the field that bridge is probably the safest bet
 
Many years ago I pulled banners for a different company off a grass strip a few miles from where this happened. That company had quite a reputation back then.

During one of the seasons we got to be occasional drinking buddies with a couple of their pilots. Everybody gets a nick name and we nick named our buddy that worked for them Lucky.
Him: Why do you guys call me Lucky?
Us: You fly for [company] right?
Him: Yeah.
Us: Have you had to put one in the water yet?
Him: No.
Us:
Him: You guys are a@@holes.
 
Wouldn't think a J3 Cub had enough power to tow anything.
 
I could be forgetting one or two, but I believe every banner plane I ever flew had more HP than it left the factory with. Several of them had more wing and more fuel capacity as well.
