Banana up the tail pipe

Piper PA-28-140 The exhaust pipe to the muffler bale that is only a SB? Had the baffle blow out and plug the exhaust pipe, kind of like someone stuck a banana up the pipe. When is the last time anyone looked up the exhaust pipe to see if you have the bale on the end to prevent blockage should the baffle blow out.

It's only a SB and a lot of Piper aircraft do not have the bale on the end of the pipe, might look if you are not sure you have the bale.
