Looking for suggestions for a aux fuel system transfer pump. Originally thought of a classic wobble pump but have had tough time finding and old one or an affordable new one. Have considered 12 volt but prefer manual.

This RC pump looks promising but a bit slow: http://www.dbproducts.com/store/shtr.htm

I've only got 5-6 gal to move so don't really need anything big I don't have a lot of room and weight is an issue of course.

What kind of aircraft is this for?

Matt,

I've used that peristaltic pump by Dave Brown in my R/C days. The gas compatible one is terrible, as the tygon is too stiff and it is a royal pain to pump. There are small geared hand-operated gas compatible pumps available, but the are slow as well - I can't imagine doing 5-6 gallons by them.

Lot's of options if you are willing to go 12v.

Can you direct me to some 12v examples?
Thanks,
Matt

I'll direct you to one I have experience with - it is on the bottom of this page for $33: http://www.centralhobbies.com/Fuel/flpmp.htm

Other companies make similar products in a range of prices, but I haven't used them.

What a great name!:rofl::rofl: How do you normally set up a transfer pump so it doesn't run dry and overheat?
