NASA finally got the job done. Apparently a faulty fuel gauge on the space shuttle cannont "fail in flight" ;)

I cant wait to watch it land now.
 
you can watch nasa tv streamed right off www.nasa.gov too, at least through the initial phases of the launch they were throwing out the orbital parameters quite often

i enjoyed looking up in my astro book to remind myself of what was going on
 
I watched the NASA feed on the cable news that had the shot from cam on the external fuel tank. The feed was live until just past the external fuel tank separation.

I worked out in my head that 5000-7000 FPS they hit in atmosphere is a mile per second or 3600 miles per hour IN CLIMB! Wowsa!

I was trying to compare that to my excellent 1600 FPM. Lessee...I get 26FPS! Woot!
