Apple Watch a pulse Oximeter?

I gotta admit, that would be a nice feature. It might be enough to tip into the buy now camp.

I have to assume the watch doesn't clamp tight enough to your wrist to give accurate readings. The typical oximeter clamps on and not just sit loosely next to.

I have pulse oximeter built in to my phone(note 4), and you don't have to press hard to get a reading. In fact if you press hard it can't get a reading.

A good idea, will wait to see how it works out. Pulse ox is always a good thing to monitor, you never know when you might get an exhaust leak.

Umm, be careful there.

I don't think that pulse oximeters work that way.

Carbon monoxide molecules, even in a small amount, can attach to the patient's hemoglobin replacing oxygen molecules. A pulse oximeter cannot distinguish the differences and the reading will show the total saturation level of oxygen and carbon monoxide. If 15% of hemoglobin has carbon monoxide and 80% has oxygen, the reading would be 95%.

My wife complains often about my exhaust leaks, I doubt an Apple watch will help.
