Mis - missed procedure
T = time for a segment
R = radio
I = instruments
A = altitudes
L = lights

i did a search on Mistrial and didn't see discussion of this, so I'm wondering if others use it or what their CFII teaches in it's place?

(I also use 5 T's for each segment)

I used "WX MICE ATM"
Weather - ATIS, etc
Mag - Check compass with DG
I- ID VOR/ILS, check GPS terminal, vor/gps button, etc
Course - inbound course
Entry - Tear/para, straight, vectors

Altitudes - during PT, step downs, DA, etc
Time - from FAF to missed if applicable
Missed - first leg or 2

Had acronym written across scratchpad on knee board so i always saw it. Covers what you need to brief.

Why not just use a flow and back it up with a check list!

No runway

Power up to TOGA
flaps to missed
Positive rate, gear up

Passing 400AGL, flaps up, radio call, nav selected
Passing 1000AGL, power to sustained climb, lights as desired and AP engage.

Or something like that.

Yup. Learn to fly and forget the crutches.

Because that's not what this is about.
