If any POAers are interested in a move to Florida and a new job, here's your chance. Winter Haven's (KGIF) airport manager left a couple of months ago and the posting for a replacement just went up.

This is my home drome. Winter Haven is a nice location, lots of outdoor recreation available, plus of course all the touristy stuff isn't too far away. The airport is growing, having added an aviation high school last year ( https://polkschoolsfl.com/newsrelea...al-florida-aerospace-academy-in-winter-haven/ ) plus opening a new Blue Line location a couple of months ago ( https://www.bluelineaviation.com/career-pilots/florida-campus ). There's a project underway to add a remote tower and be part of ATC training with Bartow (KBOW).

If anyone is interested and has questions about the area, I'll do my best.
 
Sounds like a great job for someone winding down an aviation career. I would apply, but I don't have a RV (recreational vehicle) anymore nor do I have blue hair, so I would not fit in with the Florida senior crowd...

Plus I can't stand the thought of wearing adult sized onesies....

My friend called and asked what I was doing tomorrow. I said "nothing." He said "good, I need some help." I had to remind him that I was busy doing nothing tomorrow and that I would be doing nothing all day ...

Nope. My experience with airfields has been finding creative ways to bomb them, not build them. ;)

Actually I did. He had the hydraulic cylinders on his tractor rebuilt (front bucket) and wanted some help reinstalling them. Didn't take too long so I set aside doing nothing to do nearly nothing for a couple of hours. It was exhausting! I did get some air time after that but it's just hot & bumpy these days ...

Maybe you're shopping at the wrong stores? The lululemon ones are quite trendy...
 
Can I work from home until I'm finally able to escape MA?
