The Lycon service instruction didn't give me any warm & fuzzies about swapping the old type to the new type... This is on a Cessna 177 with O=320-E2D. I hate to mount it and find out it won't work, when I could sell it as new and send out the old one for OH.

 
It looks like at the bare minimum, the outlet fuel hose may need to be a tad shorter. Re-positioning of the fittings may solve that issue
 
The new pump is taller so itwill be positioned lower behind the engine. In some instllations. I do not recalll a problem with the Cardinal. Find a Tempest dealer and order the correct part number overhaul exchange. Charlie Melot Zephyr Engines
