Pilot injured in small plane crash near church at NC coast

The plane took off from a small airport on Oak Island and crashed about 100 yards from a church on Faith Blvd. in Southport.

SOUTHPORT, N.C. — A single-engine plane crashed on a street in the coastal North Carolina town of Southport on Sunday morning, officials said.​

The pilot ejected and was taken to a hospital, the Southport Fire Department stated on social media.​

I guess rolling out of the cockpit after a crash is technically ejecting??
