The original "I don't know it all" of aviation.
I need assistance determine which brand/model of Android Tablet to obtain.

This will be used in my business. I have delivery route software that has a mobile device component. Software helps to design the route for the day, and the mobile device replaces the paper manifest and clipboard and adds GPS turn-by-turn and tracking features.

Essentially I need something on the level of the 32GB iPad 2. Needs to have camera, fast internet connectivity via cell towers, good to better battery life and a few other features we've come to expect on tablets.

Prefer new so I can get warranty.

Sounds like outside use is intended in full sun. That means a bright high nits screen will be needed. I have an Asus TF700 64gb with 600 nits screen. It is reflective without a matte screen protector but with the protector it is fantastic.
There is a newer model out the TF701 I believe. Might compare it.
I would buy another TF700 without reservation.

I'm going to echo FORANE's post.

As most of us know, the "downside" to Android tablets is quality control, so I would stick with the top brands - Samsung Galaxy, Nexus and Asus. The Kindle series have quality but they tend to be a bit restrictive for aviation use in other ways.

I am less concerned with base GB than with an iPad since most of these Android tablets have expandable storage. I use an ASUS MeMoPad 7" (last gen) as an in-flight backup. It has only 16 GB internal memory but with a 32 GB Mini SD card. Satisfactory for my needs but I personally would like a larger tablet for regular use and would be looking at the same ASUS TF series FORANE mentions as well as some of the new 8" and 9" offerings.

The other issue is, of course, connectivity. I know that the one I am using right now does not have cell access - WiFi only. I don't automatically think of that since even my iPad is WiFi only.

Nothing is really "good" (iPad or Android) at this point on the glare front although the better the screen resolution the better it seems to cut through the glare. A good glare-free screen protector can be essential.

Some outside, but mostly "inside" the cab of the delivery truck, and then indoors at the customer's facility.

Thanks for the referral to ASUS.

I have the Nexus 7. It's been discontinued now, replaced by the N9. As far as I know Garmin Pilot still doesn't work on the N9. It has a pretty good built-in GPS, but I'm not sure which models are wifi only, and which have cell capability

Can you make a Nexus 7 work?

It's

1) Cheap
2) Fast
3) Has cellular.

If 7" is ok, and the somewhat mediocre camera is good enough, it's a good deal.
